The city is still growing with lots of room for new shopping and developments. A new mall just opened with Kohl’s as an anchor store. There are many Golf courses in the surrounding area and many fine restaurants to choose from as well. Yet within the growing amenities, Moorpark still retains its rural touch. It is surrounded by farms and horse ranches, with a multitude of equestrian training stables to choose from.

There is a AMTRAK Metrolink stop in Moorpark as well. Moorpark is a small town with a low crime rate rating as 7th , making it one of the safest towns in the State of California.
